Mahendranagar: A cyclist has died when he was hit by an ambulance in Kanchanpur. According to the police, an ambulance (Ma. 1 Cha. 288) heading to Mahendranagar from Attariya, hit a bicycle carrying milk at Krishnapur Municipality-5
The deceased has been identified as Krishna Bahadur Ayer, 45, of Krishnapur-5. Ayer was rushed to Maya Metro Hospital in Dhangadhi for treatment and later referred to Seti Provincial Hospital. He died at around 7.30 am, police said.
The accident happened at 6 am on Wednesday. The ambulance belongs to Banskheda Airy Red Cross Sub-Branch and the driver Ganesh Bista, 40, of Bheemdatt Municipality-16 is under the control of Area Police Office Gulariya.
