Mahendranagar: A pregnant woman has died at the Mahakali Hospital in Kanchanpur.
The deceased has been identified as Bhagrathi Saud Dhami, 24, of Bedkot Municipality-9.
Medical superintendent Hari Kumar Shrestha of Mahakali Hospital said that he died after giving birth to a child girl.
According to him, the pregnant lady died at 1 AM on Saturday due to high bleeding and lower level of oxygen. The child’s health condition is normal. Shrestha said.
The relatives of the deceased have accused the Mahakali Hospital of negligence. Dhami’s husband Mahendra Dhami has requested to take care of the child and investigate the incident.
Discussions are underway between the victim and the Mahakali Hospital administration. Security has been tightened at Mahakali Hospital.
