A patient has died when a landslide hit an ambulance carrying him in Madi village of Kaski district. An 83-year-old Goma Adhikari died when a landslide hit an ambulance carrying patients from Mugribensi in Madi rural municipality – 09 to Thumsikot.
The ambulance driver Subash Adhikari was injured in the accident, said Madi Rural Municipality Chairman Bed Bahadur Gurung.

The injured driver has been brought to Pokhara for further treatment. The landslide swept the ambulance about 100 meters down.
The Adhikari who died in the landslide had been showing symptoms of corona infection for four days. His daughter-in-law, grandson, and granddaughter were found to be corona positive. The Adhikari was taken to the hospital for treatment without a corona test as she could not walk due to a high fever.
