Nepalese PM Deuba’s visit to India will provide opportunity to review growth in ties: MEA

Kathmandu, March 29. Nepalese Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s visit to India from Friday will provide an opportunity to review the growth in wide-ranging bilateral cooperative partnership, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Monday.

The Nepalese PM’s three-day visit to India will be his first bilateral visit abroad since assuming office in July 2021. He will be accompanied by his spouse Arzu Deuba and a high-level official delegation.

According to the MEA, the Prime Minister of Nepal will call on Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 2.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval will call on the Prime Minister of Nepal. Besides official engagements in New Delhi, the Prime Minister of Nepal will also visit Varanasi, UP.

India and Nepal enjoy age-old and special ties of friendship and cooperation. In recent years, the partnership has witnessed significant growth in all areas of cooperation, the MEA said.

“The upcoming visit will provide an opportunity to the two sides to review this wide ranging cooperative partnership and to progress it further for the benefit of the two peoples,” the MEA pointed out. India News networks
