Mahendranagar: NMB Bank has been awarded the “Green Deal of the Year 2021” in the Corporate and Investment Banking Awards category given by Singapore’s Asian Banking and Finance Magazine.
NMB Bank has been honored by Asian Banking and Finance Magazine as one of the leading banks in the field of sustainable banking in Nepal on the basis of its agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in the field of green credit flow in Nepal.
Under the agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), NMB Bank disburses loans to green schemes that meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the IFC. NMB Bank received the Green Deal Award for its continued commitment to sustainable banking and climate-friendly projects and entrepreneurial activities.
NMB Bank is currently an active member of the Committee on Carbon Accounting Financial and is the only commercial bank to have been a member of the Global Alliance for Banking on Values since 2013.
The Bank is taking steps to reduce the environmental impact of digital services by minimizing the use of paper with priority.
