PM Cup Cricket: To be selected in Kanchanpur and Kailali

Mahendranagar: The date and game schedule of the Far-Western selection for the Prime Minister’s Cup (PM) one-day men’s and women’s cricket tournament has been made public.

The Nepal Cricket Association (NCA) and the Far-Western Cricket Association (FWAA) on Wednesday unveiled the game schedule. According to the public game schedule, the men’s selection competition will start on December 12 and the women’s selection competition will start on December 19.

Nepal Cricket Association’s Far Western Secretary Tej Prakash Bhatta informed that the men’s selection competition will be held in Mahendranagar of Kanchanpur and the women’s selection competition will be held in Dhangadhi of Kailali. Eight teams from the men’s side and six teams from the women’s side will participate in the selection.

Achham and Doti will meet in the first match of the men’s selection on December 12. Similarly, Kailali and Doti will meet in the first match of the women’s selection on December 19. From the selection, the team from the far west will be selected for the Prime Minister’s Cup one-day cricket tournament which will be held from the second week of next December.

The Prime Minister’s Cup one-day cricket tournament is being held from December 26. The women’s side will play in Dang while the men’s side will play in Kathmandu, according to the Nepal Cricket Association. 10 teams including three departmental teams will participate in the Prime Minister’s Cup.
