Nepal’s Prince Dahal has made a leap in the world badminton junior rankings.
According to the World Badminton Federation’s junior rankings released on Friday, Dahal has risen to the third position. Earlier, Dahal was ranked seventh.
Dahal is followed by Mads Joel Mरller of Denmark and Varun Kapoor of India. In the world rankings, Muller of Denmark has risen to the top and Kapoor of India has risen to the second position. Earlier, Muller was fifth and Kapoor fourth. This is the biggest success of Nepal’s junior player Dahal so far. Dahal said that it was a great achievement for the individual and the country.
Dahal, age 17, of Khalanga, Darchula, is currently studying in class 10 at Danphe English Boarding School in Jaulakhel, Lalitpur. The World Badminton Federation has been determining the world rankings of senior and junior badminton players around the world.
