The government has decided to give the second dose of the Vero cell vaccine against COVID-19 from July 6.
According to Dr. Jhalak Sharma Gautam, Chief of Vaccination Branch of the Department of Health Services, the second dose will be given to the citizens in the age group of 60 to 64 years who have been vaccinated with the first dose of Vero cell vaccine.
The government had given the first dose of Vero cell across the country from June 8 to 12.
According to Dr. Gautam, there are 370,000 senior citizens who have taken the first dose of Vero cell.
He said that the second dose will also be given to the citizens who have taken the first dose of Vero cell but missed the second dose due to various reasons.
