Two young women were arrested for taking girls to India illegally

Two young women have been arrested for taking Nepali girls to India. Two women have been arrested after rescuing 16 and 20-year-old girls from the Jhapa district who were taken to India illegally under the pretext of employment.

According to the District Police Office, Parsa, the arrested are Laxmi Das, 20, of Birtamod Municipality-9, Jhapa, and Khushbu Bishwakarma, 19, of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan-12, Sunsari.

Police said that both the girls were brought to India under the pretext of working in the orchestra and two girls involved in the incident were arrested.

Both the rescued girls have been kept at the office of Maiti Nepal Parsa.
